The YMCA of the Triangle Area Swim Team (YOTA) has had a strong presence and tradition in the Triangle’s competitive swimming community for over 35 years. The YMCA is committed to offering a quality, year-round swim team with emphasis on teaching the value of competition through teamwork, sportsmanship and doing one’s best. The YOTA program strives to offer a well-rounded, values-centered program for every member, from the youngest and newest members to our veteran senior swimmers. It is our goal to be the best swim team in the Triangle Area and to set the standard for competitive swimming in North Carolina!

Congratulations to the older YOTA swimmers who took part in the RSA Summer Sizzle Meet at TAC over the weekend. It was a weekend filled with fast swimming and fun times as we dropped a ton of time at the meet; swimming a large number of best times and achieving new time standards. What a great meet!!

Another YOTA Team Travel Trip, another great weekend of fast swimming and fun times. The bus filled up and headed down to Spartanburg, SC for this summer's YOTA Team Travel Trip. Everyone had a blast as we swam lights out against the competition; achieving a ton of lifetime best times and even breaking another YOTA Team Record!! A very big thank you to the chaperone's for helping to make this meet such a huge success!!

Congrats to all of the YOTA swimmers and parents who survived the sweltering heat during the 2009 edition of the MOR Liberty Meet in Goldsboro. Once again, the YOTA swimmers were impressive; attaining a majority of personal best times and qualifying for future championship meets next month. Way to go YOTA - keep it up!!
