Welcome to the Lee County YMCA Wellness Center Group Fitness. We are committed to making your experience within our Group Exercise program the best it can be. Our certified instructors are trained to provide the most current industry trends, modifications, and safety standards.
If you are new to Group Fitness and cardio programs or a seasoned veteran, our team of instructors will help make your workout fun, challenging and more effective.

Cardio Swing: This class offers a blend of classic Big Band, Blues and Swing music with traditional dance steps. No need for a partner - get ready to jump, jive and dance your way to a full body challenge!
20/20/20: 20 minutes of hi lo cardiovascular conditioning, 20 minutes of weight lifting and 20 minutes of core work and lower body toning.
PiYo: The perfect blend of Pilates and Yoga. This unique fusion of Pilates and Yoga includes modifications for the group exercise environment, yet offers exercise progressions to challenge all levels of participants. Our focus is on the “Fusion” style, which incorporates dynamic balance, strength, and functional training and emphasizes the athleticism of Pilates, Yoga, and Dance Conditioning. We want the classes to generate heat in the body through continuous movement and create a sweat!
Yoga: This basic Hatha yoga class will teach you classic yoga postures, called asanas. They are designed to tone, strengthen, and align the body. Practicing these postures can help make the spine more flexible and healthy and promotes blood flow to all the organs, glands, and tissues. Please bring your own yoga mat.
BOSU: You will have a blast in this cardio class that also incorporates strength moves along with dynamic and ply metric movements to burn the calories, work the heart and tone the body!
Step:High energy, heart pumping classes uses step choreography to keep you moving and grooving to the beat of the music. No two classes are ever the same!!
Circuit: Is a highly effective full body workout. This One hour dynamic class alternates cardiovascular with muscular endurance stations.
Cycle: You’ll be sure to pedal away those calories with this 45 minute to an hour non-impact cardio class! *Be sure to sign up for this class in advance, space is limited and don’t forget to bring your water bottle.
Cycle & Abs: 45 minutes of Cycle and 15 minutes of Core work.
Cycle-Tubing: Take 30 minutes of cycle and put it with 30 minutes of tubing, strength work and ABS and you have a full body workout. A great class for the beginner cyclist, or for the person looking for cardio and muscle training all in 1 hour. This low impact class is for you!
Muscle Conditioning: A strength training class designed for all levels, which improves the overall muscle condition and endurance. Pump it up!
Power Hour: “I’ve got the Power,” is what you’ll be saying after consistent attendance. This high intensity, athletic-based class is designed to use your own strength in multi level training. It works the heart and the body so you have the POWER in 1 HOUR!
C & C: You’ll literally have a ball in Cardio and Core. You will spend the first half of class doing low-impact-high-intensity cardio, and then the second half with ball exercises that will tone and strengthen your entire body—especially your midsection!
Pilates: A non-impact class that trains the body from the “power house,” or core muscles. Through precise movements you will tone and elongate the muscles and utilize the stabilizers. All exercises are done on the mat; please bring your own mat to class.
Power Interval Training: This strength class will train every muscle group in one hour by integrating multiple body parts at the same time. The functionality of this type of workout mirrors how we use our bodies in everyday life.
Zumba: A dance/fitness/aerobics class based on dancing to Latin flavored music. A typical workout might include the meringue, salsa, mambo and more. (All levels)
Yogalates: Intermixes Pilates and Yoga for balance, flexibility, core stability, strength and endurance. The class will combine the strength training of Pilates with the centering and mind focusing principals of Yoga. You are sure to enjoy the benefits the body, mind, and soul!
Trekker: Takes being on a treadmill to a whole new level. In 40-45 minutes you will experience a interval training class like no other! Be sure to bring water and be ready to sweat! Treadmills are limited (a sign-up will be posted at the front desk 30 minutes before the start of class).
Butts & Guts: Is a 30 to 40 minute class designed to target your core and glutes! This high energy class will have you moving and crunching your way to a great workout! All levels are welcomed!
