Kraft Family YMCA
What is Tracking Out? Come spend your three-week break with us! The program provides a safe, fun and caring atmosphere with an emphasis on Christian values. Tracking Out offers guided recreation and age-appropriate skill development through exciting activities. No matter what your child's age or what they enjoy Tracking Out offers a wide variety of opportunities that everyone can enjoy!
Your elementary school age camper will have the choice to participate in Arts Camp or Sports Camp. While in Arts Camp, your camper will enjoy music, theater, movement, color, self-expression, and more. Each child’s artistic ability is encouraged as they learn every thing from papier-mache, to art history, to putting together a stage play or puppet show. While in Sports Camp, your camper will enjoy the challenge of physical activities with sports ranging from basketball, baseball, and lacrosse to dodge ball and bowling. Campers in both camps will visit our Wellness Coordinators who will expose them to various arts (if they are in sports camp) and various activities that involve running around (if they are in arts camp). This holistic approach to tracking out will ensure that your camper is exposed to a variety of activities!
Your middle school camper will have the choice to participate with their huddle or join our C.I.T.'s. The middle school huddle will participate in a variety of activities including field trips, group games, video games, sports, community service and more. Our Counselors in Training (C.I.T.) allows campers to serve as role models to younger huddles and assist group leaders with various activities. Campers wishing to chose this option must meet with the Camp Venture Director when they arrive to tracking out.
At the YMCA our program quality is a direct result of our staff! Our coordinators and group leaders are full-time employees with a strong interest in working with children - under the direction of full-time YMCA professionals. Each coordinator and group leader undergoes an extensive interview, reference check, background check, and completes 30 hours of staff training per year. The YMCA operates Tracking Out programs on a 1:12 staff-to-child ratio. Your child's safety and well-being are our top priorities! What does a typical day look like at Camp Venture (Tracking Out)?
