Programs-Youth-School Programs


Middle School After School
Grades 6-8
Located on-site at the Kraft Family YMCA - Middle School After School serves (YMCA transportation provided):

  • Apex Middle
  • Holly Ridge Middle
  • Lufkin Middle
  • West Lake Middle



Middle School After School is the perfect blend of academics and fun! This program is specially designed for middle schoolers - around thier interestes and needs. Campers have the opportunity to take part in the YMCA's Model UN Program and Leaders Club while at after school!

When does this program run?
From school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. each school day; this includes scheduled early release days, which are covered in the program cost.

What does an afternoon at After School look like?

  • 2:30 - 3:45 Campers arrive/snack/group time
  • 3:45 - 4:00 Devotion/Announcements
  • 4:00 - 5:00 Activity/Clubs/homework*
  • 5:00 - 6:00 Rides Out


* This may vary depending on the school your child attends and its' dismissal time.

C.H.A.R.G.E. Program for 8th graders
Offers 8th graders the opportunity to explore their leadership potential while assisting YMCA Youth Counselors at the West Lake Elementary After School Program. Contact Marjon Jackson for more information.

Registration: Registration is in progress and takes place at the Kraft Family YMCA on Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

At registration you will need the Youth Information Form, immunization records, a voided check (for monthly bank draft), and program registration fee of $25 per program, per child.
When: 2008 - 2009 Year Round & Traditional School Year
Fees: 2008-2009 Program Fees
Members: $1,645/year; $135/12 monthly installments
Program Participants: $2,074/year; $170.75/12 monthly installments

The registration fee is reflected in the total yearly cost, and does not affect the monthly draft installment price.

Bank draft option runs from June 24, 2008 – May 24, 2009 (12 installments)
