D - Spend the summer making new friends and trying new things like archery, swimming, soccer, field & gym games, devotions, skits, teambuilding activities, basketball, lacrosse, arts & crafts, dressing up for theme days, recognition for good character and much more at one of the Kraft Family YMCA's 2012 summer day camps!
Day camp is a great way for children to spend the summer! Our energetic counselors are actively involved in creating a safe, fun and nurturing environment for your child. Each part of the YMCA summer day camp experience is designed to strengthen your child's confidence, character and well-being all while allowing them to make new friends and try new things! No matter what your child's age or what they enjoy, we have a summer camp for him or her!

Camp G.R.A.C.E. (Growth. Recognition. Achievement. Character. Encouragement.) | Camp G.R.A.C.E. is offered at the Kraft Family YMCA in partnership with A Small Miracle, Inc.. Camp G.R.A.C.E. is not a mental health program or treatment program. While our staff attend introductory trainings in these disciplines, we are not designed to implement therapeutic programs. Our goal is for staff to have an understanding of these methods, and to incorporate these ideals into daily activities.

Camp CrossRoads | Full-day camp with swimming, arts & crafts, archery, teambuilding, songs, skits, values times, assemblies and Family Nights. CrossRoads campers will swim at the Kraft Family YMCA pool each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Weekly themes add variety while the core activities are maintained. Campers dress up for Thrilltastic Thursdays according to the weekly themes.

Camp Explorer | Full-day camp with swimming, skill development, arts & crafts, teambuilding, songs, skits, values times, dress-up days, assemblies and Family Nights. Sports Camp | Sports Camp offers a unique blend of fun and skill development, allowing seasoned players to excel as well as introducing newcomers to the sport. Campers are encouraged to set and achieve individual goals each week. Campers swim on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at the Kraft Y pool.

Camper In Leadership Training (C.I.L.T.) Program | Our CILT program is designed to give teens an opportunity to develop leadership skills, serve as role models for younger campers and give them time to hang out with their peers in an active, fun and safe environment. Activities include team building, outings, service projects and special events.

British Soccer Camp | Learn to play soccer British-style! Players have the opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international experts. Each day includes foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games and coached scrimmages. Equally important, the YMCA provides your child with lessons in self-discipline, good sportmanship and respect for others.

Kraft After School | Kraft After School is the place to be! We start our afternoon off with snack and values time. Campers have the option to go to homework (Mon-Thurs) where they can do their homework and get basic questions answered by one of our youth counselors. It's not all work though - gym games, Compass Awards, weekly skill development clubs, arts & crafts and more round out our day!

S.O.S. Days (School's Out Specials) | What are you going to do when there is a break from school? Spend it with us! S.O.S. Days are all-day programs (7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) during holidays and teacher workdays. These days are not covered by traditional school programs, year-round school programs or Tracking Out.
What will campers do during an S.O.S. day? As if being on break from school wasn't fun enough - we just add to it at the YMCA with activities like:

Tracking Out Activity Calendars |

Track Out Trips to Camp Seafarer | A three-day, two-night field trip for all second through eighth graders in Tracking Out where they will get to participate in a variety of activities, such as boating, kayaking, canoeing, archery, zip lines, shark tooth hunts, campfires, nature, and sleeping in open-air cabins.

Kraft Tracking Out | What is Tracking Out? Come spend your three-week break with us! The program provides a safe, fun and caring atmosphere with an emphasis on Christian values. Tracking Out offers guided recreation and age-appropriate skill development through exciting activities. No matter what your child's age or what they enjoy Tracking Out offers a wide variety of opportunities that everyone can enjoy!
Campers will get the opportunity to participate in on-site activities including arts/humanities, sports and wellness. In addition, campers will get to attend at least one field trip per track and will get the opportunity to go swimming year-round (using either the Kraft Y's outdoor pool during the summer months or the indoor pool at the Alexander Family YMCA in Raleigh).

Tracking Out - 4 Break Option | Choosing this option will allow your child to have child care for all four track out breaks. For participants choosing 4 Break Care, a discount of is built in to allow for days missed due to vacation and/or illness.
Transportation In order to accommodate as many needs as possible, the Kraft Family YMCA offers a variety of morning and afternoon transportation options. Please see below for more information.

Tracking Out 1-Week Sessions | Don't need care for all three weeks during your break? No problem! Parents interested in registering for individual weeks may choose their desired weeks by completing the YMCA Youth Registration form and Tracking Out Weeks form. Campers must be signed up at least one week in advance of the week they are registered for. Weeks are also available for the summer months, and sold as summer day camp weeks.
1-week sessions This is our most flexible Tracking Out option. Register only for the weeks you select. Register separately for holidays/ teacher workdays which are covered through our S.O.S. Days. Payment in full is due with registration for 1-week sessions. Register for a minimum of four weeks and payment may be set up through bank draft.
*Week breaks cannot be split for any reason.*

Tracking Out Transportation Options 2011-2012 | YMCA buses provide convenient drop off/pick up options. Choose the transportation options that best fit your schedule.
Morning Drop Off: 1. At the Kraft Family YMCA 2. Banks, Herbert Akins or Olive Chapel Elementary students may be dropped off at their school and ride a Y bus to the Y 3. Ride the school bus
Afternoon Pick-Up: 1. At your YMCA school program until 6:00 p.m. 2. Ride school bus home (YMCA school site locations only) 3. At the Kraft Family YMCA
Please choose one AM and one PM option for the year, at the time of registration.
*There must be a minimum of 14 students enrolled from the school for the Y to offer transportation from that site.

New Indoor Track Guidelines | Please take a moment to review the following guidelines with your child before your first walk/run. 1. Child must enter and exit the track directly in front of the stairway. 2. Child may not enter any other area of the wellness center. 3. Child must be within arm’s length of a responsible adult at all times. 4. When walking or running child should be beside or in front of responsible adult.

Fall and Winter Youth Basketball | Come play basketball with the people who invented it - the YMCA! Our basketball leagues are instructional programs that focus on the fundamentals of basketball and sportsmanship! League rules are adjusted to encourage kids to learn the proper way to dribble, rebound, do a lay-up, learn offensive and defensive plays, and also have FUN!
Our "holistic" approach to sports combines the fundamentals of the game with those of life - teaching sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork, and friendship. Games begin with "pre-game" talks lead by YMCA staff that focus on values and rules of the game and each ends with the YMCA Athletes' Prayer.

Spring 2012 Youth Soccer | The Kraft Family YMCA's Triangle Y Soccer Club is excited to offer the spring 2012 soccer season for U5-U15 players! Our leagues follow the USYS (United States Youth Soccer) small-sided guidelines - meeting the needs of all players as well as ensuring player development.
Our mission for the soccer league is to create an atmosphere for children and adults, which is accepting, challenging, friendly, fun and safe; where self-confidence can be nurtured as people grow and develop their skills in wholesome surroundings. Our club is made up of YMCA staff and volunteers who work together and strive to offer quality soccer programs for youth.

Spring 2012 Youth Volleyball | The Kraft Family YMCA is excited to offer Volleyball leagues again. We are excited to offer two age divisions again for this upcoming season.
Our volleyball leagues are instructional programs that focus on the fundamentals of volleyball and sportsmanship! League rules are adjusted to assist the players in learning the sport.
Our "holistic" approach to sports combines the fundamentals of the game with those of life - teaching sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork, and friendship.

Spring 2012 Teeball | A recreational teeball program for members and program participants. Skill development, good sportsmanship, and character traits are focused on weekly. Practices are held once a week for an hour with games played on Saturdays.
