Wakefield Middle School
YMCA Spring Soccer is an instructional soccer league geared on teaching children the basics of soccer while also focusing on character building. Through devotions, practices, and games, children are given the opportunity to learn the game of soccer while being guided in building character qualities such as honesty, respect, caring, responsibility, and faith in God.

Girls ages 8 - 12 years old
Kerr Family YMCA (meeting at the playground or indoor track)
GOTR uses the power of running and being active to change the way girls see themselves and their futures. It is an innovative health education and wellness program that combines training for a 3.1 mile non-competitive run/walk event with life-changing, leadership skill building lessons that encourage healthy habits and an active life-style in girls ages 8-12 years old.

Online registration for the Spring Season of Girls on the Run opened at 9 am on November 2nd and closes on November 30th at 5pm.Register on the GOTR website www.gotrtriangle.org. The spring season begins the week of January 25th and runs until the week of April 19th, with the end of season 5k on Saturday, April 15th. Fee is $200 (which includes 5k race registration). Scholarships are available and forms can be found at www.gotrtriangle.org. |

Kerr Family YMCA Wellness Floor
Orientations are required at both the Kerr Family YMCA and YMCA at The Factory in order for youth, grades 6-8 to use the facility without adult supervision. Instruction in safe technique for strength and cardiovascular equipment usuage.
