Year Round School Intersessions
Grades K-8 in all year round schools
Lakewood YMCA

Come hang out at the Y with Intersessions, a safe, fun way to spend your time on break from school!Intersessions are a great all-day experience for year round children! Children experience a summer camp atmosphere with an emphasis on character development, values and fun. Weekly activities include swimming, field trips (on select days), arts and crafts, sport clinics, programmed indoor/outdoor games and values times.

School's Out Special Days (S.O.S.)
Children in grades K - 8
Lakewood YMCA

S.O.S Days are open to all children, regardless of the school they attend, and they do not have to be enrolled in other YMCA programs in order to participate.

Daily activities include field trips (select days), Swimming, Gym games, Assemblies, Daily awards, Values times, Arts & crafts, and Indoor / outdoor games.

Come spend the next S.O.S day with the YMCA!

When: 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. during most scheduled Durham County Public School (traditional and year round) holidays and teacher workdays.
Fees: Members: $35/ day
Program Participants: $45/ day
Payment is due in full at the time of registration.

Kids Club After School is the place to be after school! It's the perfect blend between fun and homework. It's not all work though - gym games, skill development clinics, arts & crafts and more round out our day! More...


Registration: Registration is now open for all YMCA Members and YMCA Program Participants. At registration you will need the Youth Information Form and a voided check.
When: Mon. - Fri. (except teacher workdays and holidays)
School dismmissal until 6:00 p.m. (including early release days)
Fees: A $25 registration fee and an initial fee are due at registration. Traditional school participants are drafted for 10 installments.

The Clubhouse After School at Hope Valley Farms
Traditional and year round students in grades K - 5 from the following schools: Pearsontown, Creekside, Hope Valley and Southwest Elementary.

When: Monday - Friday school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. (Except teacher work days and holidays). Early releases are included.
Fees: A $25 registration fee and an initial fee are due at registration. Traditional school participants are drafted for 10 installments, year round school participants are drafted for 12 installments.

Middle School After School
Students in grades 6-8 from the following schools: Rogers Herr, Githens & Kestrel Heights.
Kestrel Heights School

Keep your child's after school hours productive and fun. Middle school children in our programs enjoy breaking up their routine with adventure activities, teambuilding and leadership development exercises. We have designed this program specifically for teens to grown in spirit, mind and body.
