Stage IV water restrictions are now in effect for all of Durham. As a result, the city has asked all businesses to reduce water usage by 50 percent.
In effort to comply with the new restrictions and to conserve water, the Durham YMCAs are altering the current towel service. Beginning January 1, 2008 the Durham YMCAs will no longer offer full size bath towels. We will still offer the small hand towels for members to use while working out.
If you would like to use the YMCA showers, please supply your own bath towel. Also, new water-saver showerheads have been installed in all YMCA showers to help with conservation.
