Welcome to Morrisville After School!
At Morrisville After School our goal is to be the most fun after school program around and all of our staff is committed to making sure that happens. This year we’ll have new games and some old favorites, exciting clinics, and a few special guests along the way. The 2009-2010 school year is sure to be one to remember. Make sure to check the monthly newsletter below for a more detailed description of what’s happening!
Morrisville After School places a very important focus on your child’s character development. We want each of our campers to not only have a blast each and every day but also to build relationships with their fellow campers and counselors. We emphasize 5 core character traits: Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Caring, and Faith in God. Each Tuesday and Thursday during assembly your camper has the chance to win a character stick for the day. Each character trait will have a corresponding walking stick and your camper (if chosen for the day) will get the chance to carry the walking stick around all day, proudly displaying that he or she demonstrated a particular character trait while at Morrisville After School.
Clinics are Morrisville After School’s skill development program. Every Tuesday and Thursday for activity campers will get to choose a clinic so that they may work on improving their skills in a given area. Previous clinics have included Nutrition, Soccer, Football, Camping, Arts-n-Crafts, Science, and many more. This year we are pleased to be able to bring back some old favorites and exciting new clinics like Lacrosse, Tennis, and more!
New this year are Fitness Wednesdays. The last Wednesday of every month, Health and Wellness directors from the Cary Family YMCA will be on site teaching fitness classes for our campers. To help in developing a healthy lifestyle, each month either younger or older huddles will get the chance to work with someone from the YMCA Health and Wellness department. Parents don’t worry; you will get your chance to workout with your kids at times throughout the school year!
Huddle incentives are another way that we encourage excellence in our program. The incentive program fits into our theme. Huddles work toward prizes that are all centered on healthy lifestyles and having fun. Past winners have won smoothie days, special trips to the park, and more. Huddle group names are Australia (Kindergarten), Italy (First Grade), Costa Rica (Second Grade), Jamaica (Third Grade), and Turkey (Fourth & Fifth Grade).

At the time of registration, a new copy of child's immunization record must be provided. Registrations will not be processed or accepted without immunization record.
Participants will also need to provide new bank account information (voided check & bank draft authorization) when registering.
