After School at Morrisville Elementary
Grades K - 5
Held at Morrisville Elementary School

Morrisville After School provides a safe, educational, fun environment for your child to grow in spirit, mind, and body. Whether they are playing in a gym game, doing research on the computer or working on their homework, relationships are being formed that will last a lifetime.

Cary Family YMCA is pleased to offer after school care at the year-round school, Morrisville Elementary. From start to finish, our afternoons at Morrisville will be packed with fun and character development! The YMCA will provide a safe, educational, fun environment for your child to grow in spirit, mind, and body.

Each afternoon at Morrisville Elementary will be a blast! Games, educational activities and character development are all part of our daily routine! Every group/huddle is given a name and listening signal; this ensures that each child feels like an integral part of the program.
The huddles have scheduled activities, as a group, each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Clinics (our skill development program) are scheduled for each Thursday. Children are allowed to choose their activity for a three-week period. These clinics can focus on learning a sport such as lacrosse or volleyball, developing creativity with arts & crafts, or exploring the world by researching a country.

Huddle incentives are another way that we encourage excellence in our program. The incentive program fits into our theme. Huddles work toward prizes that may include a popcorn movie party, a tie-dye party, climbing wall adventure, a trip to plaster house, and a huddle pool party.

Devotions and character building are also a part of our afterschool program. Each huddle has a daily devotion and discussion about positive choices and behavior. A "Shout Out" is given to recognize behavior that reflects respect, responsibility, caring, honesty, and faith in God.

Family nights are held four times a year. Look for information about these programs - you don't want to miss the family fun!
