Mini and Jr. Competitor is a seasonal program designed to prepare swimmers for a year-round swimming environment without a lengthy commitment. Mini and Jr. Competitor is a great way for summer swim team and intermediate/advanced swimmers to continue improving their technique, form & endurance without the pressure of highly competitive swim meets.

Participants must be ready to swim at the Starfish Level (5-8 years old) or Flying Fish Level (9 years & older). All new participants to the Mini and Jr. Competitor program MUST be evaluated prior to registering. All returning participants are eligible to register again unless approached by a program director.
Mini and Jr. Competitor meets 3 times a week during our indoor season (Monday/Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoon OR Tuesday/Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoon) and 2 times a week during our outdoor season (Monday/Wednesday evenings OR Tuesday/Thursday evenings). Registration is held in the main facility.

Registration:	Registration for Fall Swim Lessons is currently open to both Members and Program Participants. Registration for all Spring Aquatic Programs opens November 21, 2009 for Members and December 5, 2009 for Program Participants. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Cary Family YMCA Welcome Center. Note: In order to register on November 21, 2009 and receive the member rate, the participant must have a Cary or Triangle YMCA membership through the start date of the program.
