Cary Family YMCA Financial Assistance provides for the needs of youth, families, and individuals who cannot afford the full cost of YMCA memberships and programs. The Cary Family YMCA is committed to being accessible to all and works hard to support those who may be in challenging financial situations.
Every year, the YMCA of the Triangle's WeBuildPeople campaign raisies thousands of dollars to support Outreach Programs and Financial Assistance because we believe in the potential of each and every youth in our community.
Financial Assistance is available for the following program areas:
How can I get assistance?
- Request a financial assistance packet from the Cary Family YMCA front desk.
- Complete the form and attach a copy of your most recent tax return.
- Return the application and required documents to the Welcome Center.
Who will see my information?
Your information will be held in complete confidence and will be seen only by the Cary Family YMCA staff responsible for managing the financial assistance plan.
How much assistance will be provided?
We use a sliding fee scale based on total household income and the number of household members. We require supporting documentation to verify household size and income; we consider special circumstances when providing assistance.
Recipients are expected to be responsible for a percentage of the program cost. We do have limited funds. We may refer prospective participants to other community agencies if we cannot meet their needs.
How long will the assistance continue?
Qualification for Cary Family YMCA Financial Assistance is reviewed on a yearly basis.
Cary Family YMCA Financial Assistance is made available through the hard work and generosity of YMCA members, volunteers and participants through our annual WeBuildPeople Campaign.
