Just one hour a week. That's all it takes to make a difference in a child's life.

Community HOPE isn't just a tutoring program. It's a relationship--a bond between mentor and child. Through this academically structured mentoring program, students can gain more than one grade level of literacy each year. In addition, these children develop confidence and an expanded vision for the future. Your time, attention and guidance could change a child's life forever.

These children need you. As a mentor, you will meet with your student once a week throughout the school year - Monday through Thursday from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. or from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. During these one-hour sessions, you and your mentee will have the opportunity to build a relationship while working through an individualized literacy plan.

We are looking for volunteers who can commit just one hour per week for one academic school year or who can volunteer as a substitute mentor when needed. Give hope. Build futures. Be their hero.
