Alexander Pool Meet on pool deck
Take advantage of our free swim improvement clinic! Learn the ropes of lap swim etiquette, how to read a swim workout, and drills that will improve your stroke. This class is for beginner and intermediate level swimmers. We will complete a simple work-out in class utilizing the many swim aides we offer our members.
Each class is divided into groups. No need to be a speedy swimmer; we only ask that participants are able to swim the length of the pool. Advanced swimmers may be interested in YOTA's Master Swim.

Ages 5-18
Competitor Swim Practice focuses on improving stroke technique, diving and turns. This program is a great bridge between swim lessons and swim team. Classes will focus on learning and improving the four competitive strokes as well as starts, turns and finishes.
Participants must be able to swim at least 25 yards freestyle, 25 yards backstroke and tread water for 30 seconds.
Competitor Swim Practice is available in short sessions, or you may choose to register for the entire season. If you register for the entire season, you may choose one to sign up for one, two or three practices each week. You will be expected to choose the days you will practice at the beginning of season and maintain them throughout the fall.
See the 2011 Summer Swim Instruction Schedule or the 2011 Fall Swim Instruction Schedule for details.
